This is the later session following on from the first gong bath of the new year. Many of you came to the gong bath at Messums Wiltshire at the end of December and the photos are from there. A gong bath is a very effective way to reduce stress and to feel into your body. The bath includes Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, ocean drum, rattles and other relaxing sounds. As the sound vibration works through the body, it leads to deep relaxation that can help with physical and emotional issues and improve sleep. Regular gong baths help quieten the mind, bringing a sense of calm and serenity. Physically, the vibrations relax the body and relieve tension, which slows heart rate and lowers blood pressure.
Each gong bath is different and these early months of the new year are a good time to recalibrate and nurture oneself. There will a period during the bath when each person will be circled by a singing bowls while the bath continues.
Please bring a pillow for your head. Mats, blankets and eye-masks are provided.
