This 4 part course will run on a weekend in September and December 2016 and February and April 2017. The dates for Part 3 and 4 will follow shortly. It will be hosted by Aidan McIntyre who has been playing gongs for over four decades around the world and who works extensively with Grand Gong Master, Don Conreaux,

The course is designed for students already playing the gong who have had some training and wish to advance their technique and gain greater understanding and knowledge of this ancient and most powerful of sound instruments. The Gong has the capacity to erase all conceptions and thus it can also transform all conditions. Aidan will examine the alchemy of the gong and how to work with the Gong's frequencies as a way to expand and shift consciousness. He will discuss the art and science of the Gong's depth, range and power to alter and shift time and space in individual sessions, Sound Therapy, Meditation, yoga, concerts, personal practice and gong baths.

We will be working with Meinle Gongs, Paiste Gongs, Zildjin Gongs and Kyeezee- Burmese Bells. Many Gong styles and types will be shown and students will be introduced to a few playing techniques that are unique to Aidan. The aim of the course is that you leave full of confidence, knowledge, understanding and joy.

It is not essential to bring a Gong as we have Gongs set up for everyone to play.

There is accommodation locally and lunch is provided on Saturday and Sunday.
