RESTORATIVE YOGA AND GONG BATH RESUMES

We are starting again the popular Restorative Yoga and Gong Baths at the evening session once a month and will be held in candlelight.

This first session is now full and the next session is 12th September.

We will begin with a restorative yoga session. You do not need to have done any yoga experience. The session involves lying down on the mat using the prop of the bolster and perhaps a strap. This deeply relaxing and beneficial practice begins to slow breathing down and opens the body through passive stretching. Every pose is supported - this is a time to listen and to drop into your body and adapt the position you are in so that it is comfortable to be in for 4-5 minutes. During the long holds of restorative yoga, muscles begin to let go of tension and stretch and so the props, rather than the muscles, are used to support the body.

Benefits of these monthly extended gong bath: Enhances flexibility and helps to deeply relax the body. Through restorative yoga, a deep state of relaxation is reached that helps improve capacity for healing and balance the nervous system and the immune system. We develop qualities of compassion and understanding towards others and ourselves. A wonderful way to enhance mood and a guaranteed good night’s sleep.

This is an optimum state in which to enter a gong bath. It isn’t always possible to have this degree of preparation and hence the extended gong bath is offered once a month. £20/session
